Sean has been recently diagnosed with ADHD and has been having difficulty in school and building connections with his peers.
Sean attended the clinic for a number of sessions to explore study skills and ways to stay engaged with his peers. Sean found the information around study skills overwhelming online and not suited to his needs.
Sean created 3 areas that he needed support with, sustaining attention, sensory modulation and executive functioning. Sean began developing an understanding of his sensory needs and how his environment often overwhelmed him, negatively impacting on his ability to focus. With some environmental adjustments, Sean began to feel his needs were being met and could focus more on tasks, and connecting with his peers.
